The goal of this project is to support female farmers in reclaiming their ancestral knowledge by providing assistance in farming practices, helping with management and planting, and addressing the needs of their farms over a one-year period through collaborative work with their families.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div>

This includes exchanging knowledge and seeds, as practiced in the agroecology movement. At the Ju\u00e7ara Agroecological Association, valuing ancestral knowledge is essential for promoting autonomy and empowerment among rural communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative also aims to support the elderly men and women of the Santa Maria Settlement, strengthening community involvement in traditional practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the project will benefit three elderly women farmers\u2014grandmothers and widows\u2014through gatherings with younger farmers from the Association. These meetings will help organise and carry out planting and management activities, tailored to each grandmother's needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this project, it is hoped that these grandmothers will be able to continue cultivating the land, a practice that helps in the climate transition, guarantees food security for their families, generating income, in addition to helping younger people to continue a life in the countryside with empowerment and respect for their own ancestral cultures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
